Empowering Animal Health in Africa
Animal diseases pose a significant threat to livestock farmers and pet owners in Africa, causing substantial losses and impacting livelihoods. Unfortunately, the current animal health system is inadequate, leaving underserved communities struggling to access quality and affordable solutions.
Farm Alert was founded in 2019 to address this critical challenge. Our mission is to enable easy access to affordable animal health solutions in underserved communities across Africa. We are committed to tackling the following problems:
- High Cost of Animal Health Solutions
- Poor Quality or Substandard Medicine/Biologics
- Broken Supply Chain and Poor Animal Health Infrastructure
Our Approach
At Farm Alert, we collaborate with local animal health professionals, primarily veterinarians, to build an inclusive system for sustainable animal health and disease prevention. We foster a peer-to-peer network that facilitates access to regular animal health products and veterinary services, enabling knowledge sharing and empowering communities.
Through our strategically located distribution centers, we serve over 1,000 animal health stores across Nigeria, with ambitious plans to expand to 5,000 within the next 48 months. Our current distribution centers are located in:
